TikMetrics LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), doing business as PostScout.io, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you access or use our website at postscout.io and any related services, tools, or applications (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Platform Usernames: TikTok usernames, TikTok Shop handles, and other social media identifiers you choose to link or search
  • Payment Information: Credit or debit card details, billing address, and transaction history, processed securely through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not directly store your full payment card information on our servers
  • Communications: Messages, feedback, support requests, and any other information you voluntarily provide through emails, forms, or customer support interactions
  • User Preferences: Dashboard configuration, notification settings, and feature preferences

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Services, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Device Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, search queries, click patterns, session duration, referring URLs, and navigation paths within the Services
  • Log Data: Server logs, error reports, access timestamps, and diagnostic data

1.3 Information From Third-Party Sources

We may receive information about you from third-party platforms and partners, including:

  • TikTok API Data: Publicly available creator statistics, video performance metrics, engagement data, account analytics, product information, and TikTok Shop data accessed through authorized TikTok APIs
  • OAuth Tokens: When you authorize us to connect to your TikTok account, we receive access tokens that allow us to retrieve data on your behalf. These tokens are stored securely and used solely for the purposes you authorize
  • Affiliate & Commission Data: TikTok Shop affiliate performance data, commission information, and sales analytics
  • Payment Processor Data: Transaction confirmations, subscription status, and billing data from Stripe
  • Analytics Providers: Aggregated and anonymized usage data from third-party analytics services

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing Services: To operate, maintain, and deliver the features and functionality of the platform, including creator analytics, video tracking, product intelligence, and dashboard tools
  • Personalization: To customize your dashboard, analytics views, recommendations, and overall experience based on your preferences and usage patterns
  • Authentication & Security: To verify your identity, authenticate user sessions, detect and prevent fraud, and protect against unauthorized access to your account
  • Communications: To send you service-related notifications, account alerts, billing confirmations, security notices, support responses, and product updates. We may also send you promotional communications if you opt in
  • Analytics & Improvement: To monitor and analyze usage trends, measure the effectiveness of features, diagnose technical issues, and improve the Services

  • Billing & Payments: To process subscription payments, manage your billing, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Dispute Resolution: To investigate and resolve disputes, including billing disputes and chargebacks, and to maintain records necessary to contest unauthorized chargebacks

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the platform, including Stripe (payment processing), analytics tools, cloud hosting providers, email service providers, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify
  • Platform APIs: When you connect your TikTok account, data is exchanged with TikTok and related platforms via authorized APIs in accordance with their terms of service and your consent
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such transfer and any choices you may have regarding your information
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent

4. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format
  • Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Deletion: Request the deletion of your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions. To request account and data deletion, email support@postscout.io
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time (e.g., disconnecting your TikTok account, revoking OAuth access)
  • Opt Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email, or by contacting us
  • Cookie Preferences: Manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may limit the functionality of the Services
  • Do Not Track: We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, as there is no uniform industry standard for compliance

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage, and personalize content. The types of cookies we use include:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the basic operation of the Services, including authentication, security, and session management. These cannot be disabled
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences, settings, and customizations to improve your experience
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Services, which pages are most popular, and how we can improve performance
  • Third-Party Cookies: Set by our service providers (such as analytics and advertising partners) to collect data about your browsing activity across websites

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. However, doing so may affect the functionality of the Services.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
  • Comply with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
  • Resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our legal rights
  • Maintain records necessary to contest unauthorized chargebacks and billing disputes

When personal data is no longer needed for these purposes, we will securely delete or anonymize it. Billing and transaction records may be retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with financial regulations and to support dispute resolution.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@postscout.io. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications that are not owned or controlled by TikMetrics LLC, including but not limited to TikTok, TikTok Shop, Stripe, and various analytics providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services before providing your personal information to them.

10. International Users & Data Transfers

Our servers and operations are located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand and consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those of your home jurisdiction. By using the Services, you expressly consent to such transfers.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data transfer restrictions, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure that your data is adequately protected during international transfers.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights regarding your personal information:

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the changes, you should discontinue use of the Services.
